Job summary

A leading professional services firm located in Pencoed, Bridgend, is seeking a Business Support & Administration Apprentice. In this role, you will support general administrative tasks and customer inquiries while studying a Level 3 Business Administration qualification. You will work closely with various departments, process orders accurately, and provide friendly customer service. An ideal candidate should possess at least 5 GCSEs at Grade C or higher, including Maths and English, and demonstrate a proactive approach to work.

Qualifications

  • Proactive and eager approach to work and learning.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize time effectively.
  • Capability to work with computer systems including Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to participate in a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Studying a Level 3 Business Administration qualification.
  • Liaising with Sales and Technical teams to understand customer needs.
  • Providing friendly, knowledgeable customer service by phone and email.
  • Processing orders, credit notes, and follow-up communications.
  • Supporting customer returns and stock movements.
  • Proposing appropriate product solutions and advising customers.
  • Working closely with Logistics and Supply Chain.

Your Future Team

You will report to the Customer Service & Business Operations Manager, supporting general administrative tasks, customer inquiries (digitally and verbally) and order processing with a strong focus on cross‑departmental collaboration and exposure to various parts of Rockfon®.

What you will be doing
  • Studying a Level 3 Business Administration qualification
  • Liaising with Sales and Technical teams to understand customer needs
  • Providing friendly, knowledgeable customer service by phone and email
  • Accurately processing orders, credit notes and follow‑up communications
  • Supporting customer returns, stock movements and supplier performance improvement initiatives
  • Proposing appropriate product solutions and advising customers
  • Working closely with Logistics and Supply Chain to maintain high service levels
  • Supporting non‑standard pricing and quotation requests
  • Attending product training sessions at the company Training Centre
