Job summary

Encord, a London-based AI data platform, is seeking a Finance Associate to own the transactional core of the finance function, including supplier payments, customer invoicing, and month-end reconciliations. You will partner with the wider finance team and cross-functional colleagues, with real scope to improve manually intensive processes and scale financial systems as the business grows.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• 1-2 years in a finance, accounting, or analytical role.
• Foundational knowledge of bookkeeping, AP/AR, and invoicing.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet software and financial tools; AI-native finance stacks beneficial.
• Proactive mindset and ability to adapt in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping, accounts payable, VAT returns and accounts receivable.
• Process employee expense reports and ensure adherence to company policies.
• Oversee client invoicing and manage billing workflows.
• Assist with month-end close procedures, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Support financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Collaborate on ad-hoc finance and operational projects as they arise.
