A reputable recruitment agency seeks an experienced Accounts Assistant to support the Head of Finance in managing the nominal ledger and processing financial transactions in Haywards Heath. Qualifications

• Must drive and have own transport due to rural workplace location.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Assist with preparation of Quarterly VAT.
• Reconcile the VAT control account monthly.
• Assist with record keeping for partial exemption calculations.
• Record all fixed assets onto the Fixed Asset Register.
• Assist in preparing the annual budget.
• Assist Head of department to prepare the monthly cash flow report.
• Liaise with external auditors by providing data that they may request.
• Assist with the forthcoming implementation of the new accounting software.
• Provide bookkeeping for the commercial trading subsidiary.
• Prepare monthly management accounts for review.
• Reconcile the inter-company account on a monthly basis.
