A leading educational institution in the United Kingdom is seeking a Finance Assistant (Purchasing) to manage day-to-day financial operations within the Institute. Overview

As Finance Assistant (Purchasing) for the MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine (WIMM), you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day financial operations within the Institute. You will be a core member of our friendly team of Finance professionals, responsible for ensuring financial transactions are processed and recorded accurately, and for providing a comprehensive purchasing service to University administered research groups and core staff within the Institute.

Responsibilities
  • Process and record routine financial transactions in accordance with University financial regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Complete, verify, and process purchase requisitions promptly and accurately.
  • Provide a comprehensive purchasing service to University administered research groups and core staff within the Institute.
  • Ensure swift resolution of queries and potential procurement issues that may arise from suppliers and users.
Qualifications
  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent).
  • Some relevant experience in financial administration.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong organisation, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Experience using Oracle Financials and holding an AAT qualification will be an advantage.

This role does not meet the criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa under the UK Visa & Immigration points-based system. We are therefore unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
