We are a respected, established, ambitious multi‑national company headquartered in the UK with a global customer base, delivering next‑generation maritime domain awareness technologies, products and systems that enhance security, safety, environmental protection and sustainability.

As a Finance Assistant – Projects you will work within the project delivery function at SRT, liaising closely with the UK & Global Project teams and the wider Finance team. This dynamic role requires a financial individual who has experience controlling budgets and expenses in a project environment such as construction or manufacturing, and who is diligent, precise and committed to accuracy and consistency. You will work closely with the Projects Finance Director and multiple project teams both in the UK and abroad to actively control cost and minimise project delivery costs. The role is based in our Bristol, UK office with some flexibility for hybrid working.

Responsibilities
  • Track, record and monitor costs versus budgets for our Global System Projects
  • Maintain accounting ledgers and postings for our projects
  • Liaise with in‑country project teams to process and approve project costs against agreed budgets
  • Process purchase orders and ensure that financial paperwork and company processes are followed
  • Support and work with the Projects Finance Director to prepare project financial reports
  • Review invoices to ensure they meet approved limits and agreed contracts
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in a construction or manufacturing environment
  • Highly desirable: QBE, or hold a professional qualification, or working towards one
  • Experience working on international projects is desirable but not essential
  • Uncompromising attention to detail with the ability to think proactively and progressively
  • Appreciation of cultural differences in overseas territories and ability to communicate well with overseas colleagues
  • Solid knowledge of accounting systems and Excel
  • Desire to build a solid, secure career with a rapidly growing company
