Job summary

Extons Foods Ltd is seeking a Finance Assistant to support Accounts Payable, Payroll and Reporting within a busy finance team at site in Manchester. The role offers exposure to reporting and analytics beyond transactional finance and a pathway toward broader finance responsibilities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a finance environment with AP/AR/payroll exposure, strong Excel skills and ERP system familiarity. AAT or accounting studies are helpful but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a finance/account environment with AP/AR/payroll

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounts payable including invoice processing and supplier reconciliations.
• Process weekly payroll and resolve queries with HR
• Manage cash and banking reconciliations
• Support cash-flow reporting and monitor receipts/payments
• Assist with accounts receivable including cash allocations and credit control
• Prepare regular reports from Excel and finance data
• Support cost, trend and variance analysis for FP&A
• Investigate discrepancies and improve processes
• Support month-end activities and reconciliations
• Contribute to ad-hoc finance and commercial projects
