Job summary

Zachary Daniels, in partnership with a large UK consumer business, seeks a Finance Assistant for the International & Partnerships Finance team in Chester. You will manage Purchase Orders, Sales Ledger and customer recharges, gaining exposure to international partnerships and financial processes.

This role offers study support towards AAT, a clear development path, and a supportive finance function with training on SAP/Dynamics where applicable.

Qualifications

• Some understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Good Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication skills and confidence working with different people.
• A proactive, positive approach and willingness to learn.
• AAT qualification or an interest in studying towards a professional qualification.

Responsibilities

• Raising and processing Purchase Orders, ensuring accurate coding and approvals.
• Supporting Sales Ledger activities and maintaining accurate customer accounts.
• Raising customer recharges, sundry invoices and credits.
• Supporting customer claims and resolving queries.
• Responding to internal and external Finance queries professionally and promptly.
• Supporting month-end and wider Finance processes.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring Finance controls and procedures are followed.
• Supporting audit requirements and preparing relevant documentation.
• Working closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business.
• Taking on additional responsibilities and learning as your knowledge develops.
