Location: Rushcliffe, NG2 7YG

Salary: £24,432 – £24,528 per annum pro rata

Hours: 22.5 hours

Job Type: Part Time, 18 Month contract

Finance Assistant – The Role

A temporary part‑time opportunity has arisen within Financial Services working within our small but busy team providing daily support to our Systems & Performance Officer, Suppliers and Customers. The role is varied, covering sundry debtors, creditors, financial reporting, financial reconciliations, insurance administration, and payroll.

We require a strong team player and an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing with proven analytical skills. It will be essential that you possess a good level of spreadsheet skills with the experience and ability to communicate financial data to both internal and external customers or colleagues.

This is a superb opportunity to expand or develop new knowledge and skills due to wide ranging nature of the role!

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide basic administrative support as required by Financial Services to achieve agreed targets, objectives and timetables
  • Assist Finance Technicians with posting cash and sales invoices to the sales ledger
  • Deal with internal and external customers on the telephone and via email and take payments by card over the telephone
  • Upload invoices from suppliers
  • Update and set up supplier and customer details on the finance system
Finance Assistant – You
  • Experience of working within a financial services environment
  • Experience of dealing with third parties via the telephone and in person
  • 5 GCSEs including Maths and English (Grade A*-C) or a relevant Level 2 qualification
  • Ability to communicate clearly and accurately in both writing and verbally
  • Good level of numeracy and literacy skills
