FINANCE ASSISTANT

Are you an experienced Finance Assistant looking for a varied role within a friendly, close-knit team? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and growing SME where you’ll play an important part in keeping the finance function running smoothly day-to-day.

Your role

As a Finance Assistant, you’ll take ownership of both payroll and purchase ledger responsibilities, ensuring everything runs accurately and on time. Your role will include:

  • Administering weekly and monthly payroll using Sage Line 50 Payroll.
  • Processing timesheets, expenses, new starters, and leavers.
  • Managing end-of-year returns and liaising with HMRC.
  • Maintaining and reconciling the purchase ledger.
  • Preparing supplier payments and resolving queries.
  • Assisting with credit control and sales ledger cash postings.
  • Providing general accounts support and occasional office cover.
