Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Finance Assistant include:

  • Manage and monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payment of invoices
  • Allocate incoming payments accurately and reconcile customer accounts
  • Support with credit checks and setting up new customer accounts
  • Resolve customer queries related to invoices and statements in a professional and timely manner
  • Assist with month-end processes including aged debtor reporting
  • Liaise with internal departments to support smooth order-to-cash operations
  • Provide general support to the finance team as required


The Successful Applicant

The successful Finance Assistant should have:

  • Previous experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or general finance admin
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence handling numerical data
  • Excellent communication skills, especially when dealing with customers and internal teams
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage workload independently
  • Experience with finance/ERP systems and Excel is desirable
  • A team player who's adaptable and eager to learn
