Finance Assistant - Plymouth

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Assistant to join our small finance team in Plymouth. You will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in data entry, accounts payable, and the use of accounting software.

Responsibilities
  • Daily use of Xero for accounting tasks
  • Maintain and allocate receipts to the sales ledger
  • Maintain the purchase ledger, allocate payments, and manage suggested payments for authorisation
  • Liaise with suppliers to resolve queries and reconcile accounts
  • Ensure accurate information across Xero and other financial systems
  • Maintain petty cash and credit card accounts
  • Provide reporting to the Directors and external accountant
