Responsibilities

• Support purchase ledger processes and invoicing across global operations.
• Manage finance inboxes and respond to queries from colleagues and suppliers.
• Assist with supplier statement reconciliations and supplier records.
• Support new supplier setup processes.
• Assist with preparation of payment runs and ensure accuracy of payments.
• Support daily bank reconciliations and transactional reporting.
• Assist with month-end processes and meet reporting deadlines.
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc finance activities and projects.

The Role

We’re looking for a Finance Assistant to join our fast-paced, high-performing Finance team in Manchester.

You’ll play an important role in helping ensure our financial processes run smoothly, accurately and efficiently, while also contributing to our ambition to continuously improve and deliver a best-in-class service.

What you will do

As a Finance Assistant, you’ll support a range of finance activities across our operations, including:

• Supporting the purchase ledger process across global operations, including processing and posting invoices and obtaining relevant approvals.
• Managing finance inboxes and responding to queries from colleagues, suppliers and other third parties.
• Assisting with supplier statement reconciliations and maintaining accurate supplier records.
• Supporting the new supplier setup process.
• Assisting with the preparation of payment runs, ensuring supplier payments are accurate.
• Supporting daily bank reconciliations and transactional reporting.
• Assisting with month-end processes and helping the wider Finance team meet reporting deadlines.
• Supporting the team with a variety of ad-hoc finance activities and projects.

You’ll ideally have:

• An interest in finance and a desire to build a career within the field.
• An interest in, or be working towards, a relevant finance qualification.
• Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
• The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• A proactive mindset and a desire to continuously learn and improve.
