  • Support the setup and maintenance of financial systems.
  • Process supplier invoices and employee expenses.
  • Assist with supplier account reconciliations.
  • Prepare and execute weekly payment runs.
  • Post bank payments and card transactions.
  • Manage company credit card transactions.
  • Perform month-end stock reconciliations.
  • Liaise with internal teams for payment management.
  • Contribute to budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Assist with month-end tasks.

Position: Finance Assistant
Contract Type: Permanent
Annual Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 (Dependant on experience)
Working Pattern: Full Time Monday to Friday 9am - 5:30pm

Are you ready to take your finance career to the next level? Our client, a dynamic organisation, is on the lookout for a Finance Assistant to join their small, friendly accounts team!

What You’ll Do
  • Support the setup and maintenance of financial systems related to invoicing and expenses.
  • Process supplier invoices and employee expenses in line with company policy.
  • Assist with supplier account reconciliations and maintain accurate records.
  • Prepare and execute weekly payment runs.
  • Post bank payments, card transactions, and expenses into the accounting system.
  • Manage company credit card transactions and reconciliations.
  • Perform month-end stock reconciliations, including stock in transit journals, under the guidance of senior finance staff.
  • Liaise with internal teams to manage payments to stock suppliers and maintain supplier statements.
  • Contribute to budgeting and financial reporting processes.
  • Assist with month-end tasks including preparation of prepayments and accruals.
  • Ensure financial data is accurate, complete, and submitted on time.
  • Provide general support to the finance team with ad hoc accounting tasks.
