We are seeking a proactive Finance Assistant to join our Finance Team, supporting the delivery of high-quality financial reporting and administrative services across the Trust. This is a 12 month fixed term contract for a secondment cover. The successful candidate will assist with monthly financial reporting, investigate financial queries, maintain financial records and systems, and provide administrative support to ensure the smooth running of finance processes. You will work closely with finance colleagues, budget holders, managers, and external stakeholders while ensuring deadlines are met and information is accurate.

Experience within an NHS or finance environment and an understanding of accounting principles would be advantageous but are not essential.

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Goodmayes, Essex.
This post will be subject to a probationary period.
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15%of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,870 and a maximum payment of £6,1371 - per annum, pro rata for part time)
