Finance Assistant

Department: Finance

Description

As a Finance Assistant at Build A Rocket Boy, you will support our Finance team across five legal entities. You will handle a variety of responsibilities including administration, banking, internal controls, and more. To be considered for this role, you should be either working towards, or already hold, an AAT qualification.

Key Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of vendor processing, including processing vendor invoice, invoice approval monitoring, payment proposal, statement reconciliation and communications
  • Look after vendor due diligence process and onboarding, maintain vendor records in Xero system;
  • Process staff expenses and credit card transactions.
  • Look after bank transaction reconciliation, month end balance reporting etc;
  • Maintain fixed asset register and monthly depreciation process;
  • Intercompany transaction booking, balance reconciliation etc;
  • Support month end procedure, such as AP review, accrual proposal etc.
  • Assist Finance team with various financial or administrative tasks as needed
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Essential Skills and experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferrable but not essential
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, Hungarian language is a plus;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (especially Word & Excel)
  • Familiarity with online banking tools and financial accounting products preferable but not essential (e.g. Xero)
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced start-up company environment
