Job summary

A recruitment agency in Weymouth is seeking a Finance Assistant for a temporary to permanent position. You will manage sales and bought ledgers, execute weekly payroll for 100 staff, and utilize Sage Accounts and Redthorn MRP. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of experience in finance and a strong command of Sage 50 and Microsoft Excel. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in finance position with a sales and bought ledger.
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Overview

FINANCE ASSISTANT – Weymouth

Temporary to permanent position. Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00. £13.50 per hour. IMMEDIATE START / NOTICE PERIODS CONSIDERED.

Responsibilities
  • Sales ledger with credit control
  • Bought ledger
  • Weekly payroll for 100 staff
  • Using Sage Accounts/Payroll and Redthorn MRP
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years\' experience in finance position with a sales and bought ledger
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage 50 and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Familiarity with standard financial systems, ledgers, and reconciliation procedures
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Strong time management and organisational abilities
  • Clear and confident communicator – both written and verbal
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively within a finance team
