Position: Finance Assistant
Salary: 28,000 - 30,000 per annum
Location: Ayrshire, Scotland (Office-based)
Industry: FMCG

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with day-to-day financial operations, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining financial records.
  • Support in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company deadlines.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations and managing petty cash.
  • Process and manage accounts payable and receivable.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to resolve any financial queries or discrepancies.
  • Assist in the preparation for audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
  • Help streamline finance processes and improve efficiencies within the finance function.
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a finance or accounts role, ideally within the FMCG sector, although candidates with a strong finance background from other industries will also be considered.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and finance procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel (knowledge of VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, or similar) is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
