the five-year scheme will see the successful applicants undertake rotational placements across a number of key disciplines, in different UK locations.
The scheme will provide the successful applicant with a chance to cover a diverse range of areas, fundamental to understanding successful Finance roles within Boeing. We put an emphasis on learning in the workplace with live projects, working across multiple teams and locations, supported by theoretical learning and support from colleagues and the Career Starter Team.
The successful candidate will perform a number of roles during their time on the scheme interacting with all areas of the Finance functions of the company.
This team manage the financial compliance and statutory reporting for 18 Boeing legal entities across the UK and Ireland working closely with our colleagues in other finance disciplines.
This team manage our contractual relationships with our customers from initial requests for tender through contract negotiations, estimating and pricing to contract award and any ongoing customer and contract management through the contract lifecycle.
This team manages the financial performance reporting of our contracts, estimating and forecasting costs to complete on our long‑term contracts, managing risks and opportunities with program managers and other disciplines.
The FP&A team manage the consolidated reporting and forecasting of Orders, Revenue, Earnings and Cash for our programs on a monthly, quarterly, annual and for our 5 year Long Range Business Plan. This team also manage our overhead costs to ensure affordability for our contracts.
As part of the Finance Career Starter Scheme, successful applicants will undertake a structured apprenticeship pathway designed to equip you with the technical knowledge and professional qualifications necessary for a successful career in finance at Boeing.
This 18‑month programme provides foundational accounting knowledge and skills, aligned with the AAT qualification. You will complete modules including Financial Accounting, Management Accounting Techniques, Tax Processes, and Business Awareness. The programme includes practical workplace learning, regular reviews, and culminates in an End Point Assessment to demonstrate your competence.
Following successful completion of Level 3, you will progress to the Level 7 apprenticeship, aligned with the CIMA qualification. This 39‑month programme develops advanced accounting, management, and strategic skills through a series of professional modules and workplace activities. The programme concludes with a rigorous End Point Assessment, preparing you for senior professional roles.
