About The Role: As our Finance Analyst, Controls and Governance, you will play an instrumental role in the Material Controls Programme, preparing the business for Provision 29 compliance. This is an exciting opportunity to develop the design and effectiveness of controls across both the finance function and wider business. You will work with Internal Audit, the Risk Team and other second line teams to ensure a collaborative approach to risk and control management. This is a great opportunity to learn about the entire NEXT business, through engagement with control owners and leaders in a variety of different functions.

What you'll be doing
  • Leading improvement in process and controls within the finance function and wider business through reviews of processes and strengthening of controls.
  • Performing control testing to assess whether control design appropriately mitigates underlying risks, and whether controls are operating effectively.
  • Developing excellence within the Finance function and wider business by delivering training on governance and controls and engaging others in the Material Controls Programme.
  • Driving a controls mindset within the business by leading a control certification process.
  • Working collaboratively with other second line and third line teams to ensure a joined up approach to risk and control management across the business.
About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • ACCA, ACA or CIMA Qualified
  • Background in External Audit, Internal Audit, SOX Compliance or Risk and Control Management
  • Organised, able to manage their time and deliver to deadlines
  • Has a controls mindset and can challenge the status quo
  • Works collaboratively and can engage with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Motivated, proactive, and ready to make a real impact
