About the role

You will play a key role in driving the financial performance and insight across a range of customers. You will support accurate reporting, robust forecasting and actionable insight that enables better commercial decisions and value creation. You will report to the Finance Business Partner and contribute to the following responsibilities.

Role Responsibilities

  • Supporting the delivery of weekly & monthly performance for your customers.
  • Simplifying processes and identifying opportunities to streamline reporting, systems and data to improve governance.
  • Supporting the Finance Manager on integration activities and ad-hoc projects impacting the customer cluster.
  • Ensuring financial processes are followed and documented, particularly around trade investment and approvals, in collaboration with the commercial accounting team to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Tracking and analysing trade spend, promotional investment, customer terms and supporting post-investment reviews/ROI analysis to improve future decision making.
  • Helping identify risks and opportunities within customer P&Ls and supporting scenario planning.
  • Analyzing variance against budget/forecast, highlighting key drivers/trends and preparing reporting packs for Account Directors and Commercial teams.

Experience and Key Attributes

  • CIMA part qualified or equivalent qualification (other financial qualifications considered)
  • Ability to work on own initiative and deliver solutions to business and finance problems
  • Ability to prioritise and deliver in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with ability to distil key messages from complex data and make recommendations
  • Ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders to influence and drive continuous improvement
  • Background in FMCG and supply chain preferable – retailer or manufacture is desired
