Job summary

The Walt Disney Company Limited in London is seeking a Finance Analyst to support Content Sales FP&A, consolidating EMEA analyses and delivering the quarterly forecast, AOP and 5YP. You will partner with senior leaders and coordinate with central planning and the US team.

Based in our Hammersmith office, this full-time hybrid role involves regional consolidation, ad-hoc modelling, and providing financial support to deal renewals and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Degree qualified with ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in media.
  • Experience with SAP/BW and Cognos Reporting; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

  • Aid regional consolidation of analysis, reporting and presentations for Quarterly Forecast, AOP and 5YP for Content Sales EMEA.
  • Prepare analyses and presentations for regionally managed territories.
  • Coordinate with Accounting and Controllership to support Quarterly Close.
  • Support EMEA finance teams and provide financial support to the Content Sales sales team on deals.
  • Support Ultimate processes and valuations with US Finance, ad-hoc analysis and modelling as required.
  • Maintain a collaborative, cross-functional approach across EMEA finance.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Finance Analyst to make a meaningful impact and be part of a dynamic team. Join us in shaping the magic behind the scenes! Reporting into our Finance Manager and supporting the Content Sales team, the successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing our Content Licensing P&L, whilst acting as a business partner to senior leadership and the broader team to create the revenue forecast and model deals across multiple markets and clients. As a Finance Analyst within Content Sales, the individual will also be crucial in consolidating our regional roll up our EMEA markets, providing submissions to central planning and Burbank along with owning the Studio Ultimates process.

Please note: This role will be based in our London Hammersmith office, 4 days a week, with either Monday or Friday working from home.

What You Will Do
  • Aid the Regional consolidation of all analysis, reporting and presentations for the Quarterly Forecast, AOP and 5YP processes for Content Sales EMEA
  • Prepare all necessary analysis, reporting and presentations for the Quarterly Forecast, AOP and 5YP processes for regionally managed territories
  • Co-ordinate with Accounting and Controllership to support the Quarterly Close process
  • Work closely with and provide guidance and support to all EMEA territory Finance teams.
  • Provide financial and commercial support to the Content Sales sales team on deal renewals and other sales activity
  • Support the Finance Manager on any Content Sales ultimates processes and deliverables to the Burbank (US) Finance team and support Content Valuation exercises for EMEA
  • Support the Content Sales Finance Manager and Director with any ad-hoc analysis, financial modelling, reporting and presentations as required
  • Support a 'one team' approach within EMEA finance.
  • Build a network amongst the finance leadership community across lines of business and markets, sharing resources, knowledge and best practice
  • Adopt a flexible approach to provide ad hoc finance support to the finance leadership across all Media lines of business
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • Degree Qualified and ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis, experience of working in a similar role within the Media sector preferable
  • Experience working with financial IT systems, experience working with SAP/BW and Cognos Reporting and excellent proven Excel skills
  • Experience of working with and providing financial support to operational and commercial teams
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to produce clear and insightful presentations that deliver key messaging at the appropriate level of detail
  • Financial modelling and analysis

  • Numerate and analytical with a desire to think through and resolve problems
