Position: Finance Analyst (Payroll & Corporate Support)

Department: Finance

Role Type: Permanent

Location: London, Denmark Hill (hybrid with a 2 days per week on site requirement)

Salary: £37,250 - £45,400 + up to 12% annual bonus

Responsibilities
  • Support all payroll-related financial processes, including liaison with the NHS Business Services Authority (NHS BSA), pensions, and benefits.
  • Prepare and post journals, reconciliations, and month-end adjustments.
  • Provide financial analysis, forecasts, and variance commentary for corporate departments.
  • Assist in budget setting and year-end audit preparation.
  • Maintain and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Collaborate across Finance, HR, and Operations to improve financial performance and understanding.
  • Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and enhance financial processes.
About You

We're looking for a proactive, analytical, and detail-oriented professional with a passion for continuous improvement. If you enjoy turning numbers into insights and using data to influence decision-making, then this could be the role for you!

Essential skills and experience
  • A Levels and a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Studying towards or qualified in a professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA).
  • Experience in financial analysis and management accounting.
  • Strong Excel and data analysis skills, with proven experience in Power BI.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and collaboration skills.
Desirable
  • Experience within NHS or public sector finance.
  • Knowledge of payroll finance and Microsoft D365.
