We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Finance Control Analyst to join our Finance Control team. This is a unique opportunity for someone with a strong academic background in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or a part-qualified accountant with relevant experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within a banking environment.

You will play a key role in supporting the Finance Control Director across a range of financial reporting, control, and compliance activities. This hands‑on role offers excellent exposure to senior stakeholders, external advisors, and key financial processes critical to the Bank’s operations.

You will assist the Finance Control Director with:
  • Preparing accurate and timely financial accounts in accordance with International GAAP, internal group policies, and regulatory standards
  • Producing monthly management accounts and delivering insights ahead of regulatory deadlines
  • Reporting on Bank performance including key KPIs and financial metrics to the Board
  • Managing and reconciling operational cash balances and flows
  • Supporting and enhancing the finance control environment to ensure it remains robust and fit for purpose
  • Performing day‑to‑day accounts payable activities, ensuring suppliers are paid on time and records are accurately maintained
  • Supporting the timely collection of accounts receivable balances
  • Preparing and submitting regulatory returns within the remit of the finance function
  • Liaising with external stakeholders including auditors, tax specialists, professional services firms, deposit aggregators, and correspondent banking partners
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (graduate‑level applicants welcome)
  • A part‑qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally within a bank or financial institution
  • Demonstrated understanding of accounting principles and a strong desire to complete a professional qualification
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to work with large data sets
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • A high degree of ownership, initiative, and a "can‑do" attitude
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Desirable Skills & Experience:
  • Exposure to modules or experience involving Artificial Intelligence (AI) or automation tools
  • Working knowledge of VBA, PowerPoint, and other data analysis or reporting tools
  • Experience preparing or supporting regulatory reporting within a financial services context
Location:
  • London (5 days per week in the office)
  • Travel to other locations may be required on occasion.
