Job summary

ScottishPower is seeking a Finance Analyst in Cambuslang for the hybrid role, onsite three days per week. You will support capex management and regulatory matters, delivering accurate project financials and budget governance within the SPT Performance & Reporting team.

You will collaborate with PMO teams, maintain strong controls, and produce timely financial reporting and accruals analyses while building cross-department relationships.

Qualifications

  • Financial qualification or degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience of Excel.
  • Strong communication across levels and teams.
  • Experience with large data sets and reporting environments.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare the monthly Commercial Report for SP Management meetings.
  • Review and develop Monthly Scorecards aligned with deadlines.
  • Maintain controls and ensure documentation aligns with Group policies.
  • Assist with monthly actuals process and variance analysis.
  • Manage GRNs and Invoices with project teams and reporting.
  • Provide key monthly timetable dates for governance of finances.
  • Support governance for project delivery portfolios and status assessments.

Finance AnalystCambuslang, Glasgow (hybrid- 3 days onsite)Salary from £45,400 + excellent benefitsClosing date- Wednesday 9 th of September 2026Help us create a better future, quicker!The role of the Finance Analyst sits within the ScottishPower Transmission ( SPT ) Performance & Reporting ( P&R ) department reporting to the Senior Finance Analyst. They are primarily responsible for duties that follow SP governance, policies and procedures to support the accuracy of SPT’s project financials and overall budget management.The role is multi-faceted depending on capacity and demand needs of the overall Financial Operations team, either supporting capex management or financial regulatory matters. The Finance Analyst will be working in conjunction with multiple multi-disciplined PMO teams and SPT departments to serve as a key interface to support SPT Financials.What you’ll be doingLiaise with contacts across the business to provide information for the monthly Commercial Report, which is the key governance tool for the monthly SPT Management meetingReview and develop the Monthly Scorecards for the business, ensuring these are prepared timeously and in line with business deadlinesMaintain strong controls, ensuring all processes and procedures are in line with Group policies and that documentation is kept up to dateSupport the project delivery portfolio teams with the monthly actuals process and information, supporting any variancesManage any outstanding GRNs and Invoices with the project delivery portfolio by reviewing, producing reporting and engaging with project teams to progressPerform project commitments analysis against actuals and resolve any issues.Support accruals analysis across the project portfolios expected contract profile spends to ensure accuracy of information through data analysis and interrogationProvid e key monthly timetable dates to support overall monthly financial governance for ControlSupport and provide governance for project delivery portfolio teams to adhere to business procedures and processes by assessing project status in line with these proceduresWhat you’ll bringFinancial qualification, degree in related discipline or equivalent experienceExperience in a financial support roleSignificant experience of ExcelWorking knowledge of financial & commercial policies, procedures and working practicesE xcellent communication skills at all levelsExperience of building and maintaining strong inter-departmental and external working relationshipsEffective organisational and analytical skillsExperience of working with large volumes of data in a reporting environmentCommercially aware, self-motivated individualAbility to garner an extensive knowledge of the SPT Licence and interpret this in the best interests of the organisationMinimum CriteriaFinancial qualification, degree in related discipline or equivalent experienceExperience in a financial support roleSignificant experience of ExcelDemonstrates excellent communication skills at all levelsAbility to garner an extensive knowledge of the SPT Licence and interpret this in the best interests of the organisationExperience of building and maintaining strong inter-departmental and external working relationshipsEffective organisational and analytical skillsExperience of working with large volumes of data in a reporting environmentCommercially aware, self-motivated individualWhat’s in it for youAs well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits.
