Overview
As part of the Financial Planning & Analysis department the role will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting financial data to provide actionable insights that drive informed decision-making and enhance financial performance. This will include creating new reports and templates, amending existing reports and automating and streamlining processes. This role requires a strong blend of financial acumen and data analysis expertise
Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis & Reporting: Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability studies. Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, presentations, and dashboards for management.
- Business Performance Insights: Translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and actionable recommendations for finance and business stakeholders to improve efficiency and profitability.
- Data Collection & Processing: Gather data from various sources, clean, and pre-process it to ensure accuracy, consistency and completeness.
- Data Visualisation & Reporting: Create clear and compelling visual representations of data through charts, graphs, and dashboards using tools like Power BI and Power Query
- Collaboration: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand data requirements, define key performance indicators (KPIs), and deliver relevant insights.
- Problem-Solving: Proactively identify data-related issues, troubleshoot problems, and develop creative solutions to enhance data quality and analytical processes.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Support ad-hoc financial and business analysis requests from various departments.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry best practices, new tools, AI and technologies in data analytics to continuously improve our data capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field.
- 2-4 years experience in a finance or data analyst role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to interpret large datasets and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial functions)
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial audiences.
- Previous SAP experience is desirable
