Job summary

Rowlands Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our dispensing team in the United Kingdom. You will conduct final accuracy checks on prescriptions, ensure compliance with GPhC standards, and support efficient workflows across the pharmacy's operations.

We expect strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise workload under pressure while mentoring colleagues and contributing to high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
• GPhC registration as Pharmacy Technician.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and safe dispensing practices.
• High attention to detail with patient safety focus.
• Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Final Accuracy Checking - Conduct thorough final checks on all dispensed prescriptions to ensure patient safety and eliminate errors.
• Regulatory Compliance & Quality Assurance - Maintain full compliance with GPhC, NHS, and statutory pharmacy standards at all times.
• Operational Efficiency - Support productivity through effective use of automated dispensing systems and streamlined workflows.
• Stock & Inventory Control - Manage stock rotation, audits, and cost control processes in line with SOPs and business objectives.
• Team Support & Development - Train, mentor, and delegate tasks to dispensers and pharmacy teams to ensure effective operations and skill utilisation.
