Job summary

Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a meticulous Pharmacy Support Worker to join the inpatient dispensary as a Final Accuracy Checker (FAC). This Band 4, part-time role focuses on dispensing accuracy and patient safety, with full training and a nationally recognised FAC program.

You will work in a state-of-the-art robotic dispensary, supporting the Senior/Chief Technician and contributing to a high standard of pharmaceutical care within hospital services.

Qualifications

• BTec level 2 Dispensary qualification.
• GCSE English and Maths grade C or above, or equivalent.
• Relevant training and experience in a Hospital Pharmacy environment.
• Experience in use of CMM (JAC) pharmacy computer system.

Responsibilities

• Undertake final accuracy checking and a range of other technical pharmaceutical activities in the dispensary, including the preparation, dispensing and issuing of medicines (including clinical trial products and CDs) in response to prescriptions or requisitions, in line with local SOPs under supervision.
