Job summary

Moog Controls Ltd. in Tewkesbury is seeking a Final Acceptance Inspector to verify aerospace valve assemblies before shipment.

You will conduct detailed visual inspections, review build records, and ensure regulatory compliance. Join a high-standards quality team and contribute to FIRST Article Inspections, Certificates of Conformance, and release activities while upholding AS9100 standards and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent technical qualification.
• Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing quality inspection.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical requirements.
• Knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, and aerospace quality systems.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Methodical approach to problem solving in regulated processes.
• Experience with First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
• Familiarity with EASA, FAA, or UK CAA regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform final acceptance inspections on aerospace valve assemblies before shipment.
• Conduct detailed visual inspections for workmanship and configuration.
• Review build records to ensure completeness and proper authorization.
• Verify documentation and enforce conformance with engineering and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and resolve documentation discrepancies and non-conformances with cross-functional teams.
• Issue Certificates of Conformance and Authorized Release Certificates.
• Support compliance with EASA, FAA, and UK CAA standards.
• Review supplier and product quality documents including FAIRs.
• Participate in continuous improvement across the Quality organization.
• Act as delegated Quality representative in customer interactions.

To be considered for Final Acceptance Inspector, here’s what you’ll typically bring with you:

• NVQ Level 3, BTEC National Certificate, or an equivalent technical qualification.
• Experience within aerospace, precision manufacturing, assembly and test, or quality inspection environments.
• Experience reviewing manufacturing documentation, inspection records, and quality paperwork.
• The ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical requirements.
• Knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, and aerospace quality systems.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• A methodical approach to problem solving and working within regulated processes.

It’s preferred if you bring:

• Aerospace manufacturing experience.
• Assembly & Test experience.
• Previous experience performing product acceptance or release activities.
• Familiarity with EASA, FAA, or UK CAA regulatory requirements.
• Experience with First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).

As Final Acceptance Inspector, you will:

• Perform final acceptance inspections on completed aerospace valve assemblies prior to customer shipment.
• Conduct detailed visual inspections to verify product workmanship, configuration, and overall presentation.
• Review manufacturing and inspection documentation to ensure all operations have been completed, verified, and properly authorized.
• Confirm build records are complete and fully compliant with engineering, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and resolve documentation discrepancies and non-conformances with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams.
• Issue Certificates of Conformance and Authorized Release Certificates following successful inspection and acceptance activities.
• Support compliance with aerospace regulatory requirements including EASA, FAA, and UK CAA standards.
• Review supplier and product quality documentation, including First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs).
• Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving activities across the Quality organization.
• Act as a delegated Quality representative when interacting with customers and external stakeholders.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 2:15pm
• Friday: 6:15am - 11:45am
