Job summary

Birchrose Associates in London is seeking an Associate to join its Market-leading Media & Entertainment team. The role focuses on advising on rights, production, finance and commercial matters for film, television, theatre and live events.

Working with industry experts, you will draft and negotiate agreements, provide structuring advice to producers and investors, and support day-to-day legal needs across productions and IP in the entertainment sector.

Qualifications

• UK qualified Solicitor with 2-4 years' PQE.
• Experience in Film, TV, theatre, live events, media or related commercial/IP practice.
• Experience at a recognised private practice firm or relevant in-house environment.

Responsibilities

• Advising producers on rights-based matters, including creator agreements, rights acquisition and chain of title issues.
• Drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements across development, finance, production and distribution.
• Providing structuring advice to producers, studios and investors.
• Supporting clients with the day-to-day legal requirements of productions and live projects.
• Advising on general commercial and intellectual property matters within the entertainment sector.
