Job description

We have an opportunity for a Production Technician to join our Filling and Packing team working for our global pharmaceutical client based in Milton Keynes. The role is a full‑time temporary contract role initially signed off for 12 months to start as soon as possible. You will be required to work 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday) and offers an hourly rate of up to £16.50ph depending on experience, plus 25 days holiday pro‑rata and other benefits.

All work must be performed in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

It is essential that all batch paperwork for the filled product, packing and dispatch is completed accurately and at the time the activity was carried out.

Responsibilities
  • Printing, picking and preparing production packaging.
  • Packing product in accordance with the schedule.
  • Set up and use of filling and labelling machines, with defined routine maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Accurate record keeping and documentation.
  • Support in GMP production environments with inspection and preparation of vaccine products.
  • General housekeeping and cleaning of the production areas.
  • Input into department schedule.
Qualifications
Essential
  • Good standard of education, GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a willingness to learn new skills.
  • A safety-conscious mindset: demonstrating awareness and understanding of Health and Safety practices; a willingness to learn and apply safe working practices; to raise safety concerns and support the department in continuous improvement activities.
  • Ability to communicate with others and to work to deadlines.
  • Good record‑keeping.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel.
  • Be able to carry out physically demanding work including repetitive lifting of items up to 5kg and occasional lifting of items up to 30kg.
Desirable
  • Experience in a cGMP manufacturing environment, production, packing or warehouse.
  • Full UK driving licence.
