Job summary

Princes Group in Cardiff is seeking a Machine Operator to run a filler line, produce finished cartons to quality standards, and minimise waste. The role involves three shift work and requires diligent documentation and adherence to hygiene rules.

You will work as part of the production team, ensure safe operations, and communicate with the Team Leader regarding the production plan and any issues that arise. Experience in food packaging is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Be proficient in cleaning, operating and maintenance of the filler.
• Operate all packaging equipment on the filling line.
• Be literate and numerate to record checks accurately.
• Have basic food hygiene training.
• Understand emergency procedures and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Carry out machine operator functions on a filler to produce finished cartons with quality and minimal waste.
• Carry out routine checks and tests to a defined schedule.
• Maintain clean as you go policy and safe operating environment.
• Liaise with Team Leader about production plan and issues.
• Document checks and ensure correct packaging and carton coding.
