Job summary

ENERCON Services UK is seeking an Electrical Technician to install components, carry out maintenance, diagnose faults and generate reports on ENERCON wind turbines. You will work in a two/three person team, travel to sites across the region, and climb turbines regularly, so fitness for height is essential.

Key duties include electrical maintenance, fault finding, installation and retrofitting of components, completing weekly/monthly reports, risk assessments, and maintaining stock.

Qualifications

• NVQ/SVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Engineering required.
• Time served apprenticeship in electrical/engineering role.
• Experience in electrical/engineering in a commercial setting.
• Wind sector experience would be beneficial.
• Full, clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Service wind energy converters (WECs) in a specific area.
• Carry out electrical maintenance for WEC operation.
• Regularly climb wind turbines; ensure climbing certificates are valid.
• Produce weekly and monthly reports for supervisors.
• Complete maintenance schedules on time and safely.
• Fault finding and reporting on electrical equipment.
• Install and retrofit electrical components.
• Carry out risk assessments and method statements when needed.
• Communicate with in-house technicians and service coordinator promptly.
• Manage van stock; receipts and returns as required.
• Assist with stock replenishment from CVS boxes as needed.
• Carry out HV switching tasks when qualified, and related duties.
• Adhere to health and safety requirements.
