Qualifications

  • MRCVS qualification or eligible.
  • Minimum of 1 years experience of working with farmed animals.

Responsibilities

  • Complete administrative tasks related to animal health and compliance.
  • Conduct farm visits and inspections as required.
  • Manage and audit disease control programmes for enzootic and epizootic diseases.
  • Ensure compliance with animal welfare and traceability requirements through inspections and enforcement.
  • Support trade facilitation by certifying animals and products for export.
  • Provide veterinary expertise across species such as pigs, sheep, and aquatics.
  • Contribute to policy development in areas including disease surveillance, animal welfare, antimicrobial resistance, and trade facilitation.
