Job summary

Swann Engineering Group is seeking a Trainee Telecommunications Infrastructure and Inspection Engineer for a field-based UK role, with our head office in Braintree, Essex. You will support the lead rigger with rigging, erection, installation, and dismantling of steel structures, while travelling across the UK and attending site surveys.

The role requires height-related work, a valid UK driving licence, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Working at Height certification is required.
• Valid and full UK driving licence is required.
• Must pass a basic medical and fitness examination.
• RAMS/SSOW/SOW knowledge is desirable for submissions.
• Experience using Microsoft Office is desirable.
• Ability to work at height and in noisy environments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and prepare loads to be moved.
• Set up and level heavy equipment machinery.
• Inspect rigging before final use.
• Monitor and maintain rigging equipment.
• Climb and work at height on antenna mast and tower supports.
• Assist with installation of feeder support systems and TX link supports.
• Move loads using heavy equipment manually.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Communicate with the rigging team and leaders.
