Job summary

Veriflo Limited is seeking a Field Technician for Clean Water in Reading. This hands-on role supports asset verification, testing, and disinfection activities, with a night shift allowance.

You will work with project managers and other technicians, applying practical skills to ensure reliable water infrastructure operations. Ideal candidates have at least 5 years of field experience, hold a UK driving licence, and are comfortable with GIS tools and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in a practical/technical role in clean water.
• Must have a Full UK driving licence.
• Proactive, safety-focused approach to work.
• Familiarity with valve operations and NRSWA Streetworks.
• Comfortable using smart devices and basic IT systems.
• Knowledge of GIS tools such as ArcGIS.

Responsibilities

• Support field operations including asset verification, DMA validation, operability testing, trunk main isolations, logger deployments.
• Conduct flow and pressure testing, optimisation activities, and maintain disinfection depots and equipment.
• Set up safe work sites and carry out risk assessments, using GIS plans and smart devices for site reports.
• Participate in urgent or reactive fieldwork at short notice.
• Prepare vehicles, equipment, and stock for upcoming jobs.
