Job description

We are currently seeking a Field Support Engineer with technical elevator knowledge and experience of our major competitors’ products to join our pioneering team in Manchester.

Responsibilities
  • Provide remote technical support to TKE field technicians across Europe, with occasional travel to give on‑site support when required.
  • Get involved in research about new control systems and digital solutions.
  • Assist in the development of training simulators and product test rigs.
  • Undertake training as necessary to be at the forefront of industry and technological developments.
  • Deliver training courses to field engineers from across Europe.
  • Assist with the preparation of product support content for field use.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience working as a field support engineer.
  • A subject matter expert in one or more of our major competitors’ product lines.
  • Excellent communication skills: verbal, telephone and written.
  • Positive attitude, capable of working under pressure as part of a team.
  • Confident in using your own initiative and proactive thinking outside of the box.
  • An investigative mind‑set that approaches issues from all angles, especially for the purpose of identifying workarounds for on‑going incidents.
  • Demonstrated exceptional customer service and problem‑solving skills.
  • NVQ4 (or similar) qualification an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • It is desirable if you have language skills, especially in French (Italian or German can also be considered).
