With over 40 operational energy parks, we manage all of our sites through our world leading Control Centre at Whitelee Windfarm, near Glasgow.

At ScottishPower Renewables, we know people are central to building a better future, quicker and we are seeking new talent to join our team.

Working as part of a small, dynamic team to ensure safe, efficient and compliant day-to-day operational management of ScottishPower Renewables' (SPR) wind farm portfolio, you will act as the responsible Field Supervisor for a designated number of sites within the SPR portfolio and pro-actively manage, co-ordinate and close-out local issues directly and via sub-contractors where present.

Managing sub-contractors to ensure that all site activities are planned and carried out in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring optimal commercial performance of the site without compromising safety, you will attend site as required during periods of non-routine work (both WTG and wider site works) to ensure that contractor activities are being carried out in a safe and compliant manner.

Assuming responsibility for pre-commencement assessment of all work tasks being undertaken on allocated sites in accordance with the SPR Work Control Management Instruction, you will carry out wind turbine inspections and local fault re-setting in accordance with the Wind Turbine Safety Rules.

Providing input to the Area Supervisor/Area Manager to support development and maintenance of OPEX budgets for allocated sites on an annual basis, supporting updates to forecasts in accordance with business reporting calendars, you will assist in the identification of new, development of existing, site-specific, group-wide operating procedures and policies as defined by the Area Supervisor/Area Manager.

In conjunction with the Area Supervisor, you will be required to liase with internal/external stakeholders including Landowners and emergency services.

Providing 24hr call-out/response for allocated sites in the event of site emergencies, you will carry out limited HV apparatus operations in accordance with SPR Electrical Safety Rules, working with the Area Supervisor to maintain consistent resourcing of the area and support of allocated sites during periods of increased workload, personnel training, holidays and sickness.

What you’ll bring
