Job summary

KWS UK Ltd. in Thriplow is seeking a Station Technician to support field trials, breeding activities and seed production across multiple crops, using precision trial and farm machinery.

You will collaborate with Field Operations and Trial Operations teams, maintain and repair vehicles, and log activities in KWS IT systems while following SOPs and health-and-safety policies to contribute to sustainable crop development.

Qualifications

• Formal agricultural education.
• Experience operating agricultural machinery.
• Knowledge of trial delivery and field operations.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Trustworthy, reliable, and eager to learn about plant breeding.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Supervisory experience would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Carry out field activities using precision trial and farm machinery.
• Support crop production for trials, breeding nurseries and seed production.
• Work across crops within the Multi-Crop station.
• Assist Field Operations and Trial Operations teams.
• Maintain, inspect and repair vehicles and agricultural machinery.
• Record field activities and observations in KWS IT systems.
• Follow SOPs, work instructions and operational plans.
• Adhere to KWS Health & Safety policies and guidelines.
