Job summary

Hose in the United Kingdom is seeking a Mobile Service Engineer to diagnose and repair hydraulic components at customer sites, maintaining high service standards and safety. You will log job details, manage van stock, and build customer relationships while supporting continuous improvement across sectors such as Plant, Heavy Machinery, Logistics, and Manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Experience in hydraulic repairs or mechanical/engineering roles preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with engineering or breakdown background.
• Full UK manual driving licence.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience as Hose/Hydraulics Engineer, Plant Fitter or Mobile Service Technician ideal – training provided.

• Travel to and represent the company at customer sites, maintaining high standards of work and communication.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic components to a high standard.
• Log job details via the company app, including photos and parts used.
• Complete Health & Safety Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work before each repair.
• Maintain van stock levels and conduct regular checks.
• Build customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.
• Support audits and contribute to continuous improvement.

This role involves diagnosing and repairing hydraulic components at customer sites, maintaining high service standards, and ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently. Sectors include Plant and Heavy Machinery, Material Handling, Logistics, Manufacturing, Oil and Gas, Agriculture, and Waste and Recycling.

What We're Looking For
