Field Service Engineer – Leeds – Permanent

Questech Automotive Recruitment are seeking a skilled Field Service HGV Technician to join a dynamic team in a successful company who reward skill and dedication with ongoing training, career progression and a supportive team culture. If you are working as HGV Technician and looking to be field based in Yorkshire then please apply for the role.

Salary: £40,000 - £43,500 DOE (based on 45 hour week) + Vehicle + bonus

Hours: 45 hours between 08:00 and 17:30 Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair faults on vehicle chassis and mounted equipment
• Carry out servicing and maintenance to a high standard
• Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections
• Use diagnostic software and tools to identify and resolve issues
• Travel to customer sites across the UK, sometimes at short notice
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
• Communicate clearly with customers and provide excellent service
• Support health and safety practices and complete risk assessments as required

Requirements / The person

• NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent in Heavy Vehicles
• Previous experience in a field service, HGV Mechanic, workshop engineer role
• Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexible with working hours
