Job summary

Kardex is seeking a Field Service Technician in Greater Edinburgh or Glasgow to service installed systems, perform electrical and mechanical repairs, and carry out safety checks. You’ll work independently and at heights up to 7 metres, providing on-site guidance to customers.

Ideally you have technical vocational training (industrial electrician, electrician, mechatronics technician, electrical installer, electronics technician), can read electrical schematics and work safely up to 1000 V.

Qualifications

• Completed technical vocational training in electrical/mechatronics fields.
• Able to read electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Able to safely work with up to 1000 volts.
• Hold a Category B driving licence.
• Field service experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical repairs on installed Kardex systems.
• Carry out maintenance work, safety checks and service tasks.
• Identify faults quickly and provide practical solutions.
• Work at heights up to 7 metres and maintain safety.
• Provide on-site training and instruction to customers.
