Responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will provide on-site maintenance, repair, and refurbishment services for our car carriers, waste bins, and the innovative Modalohr train wagon concept.

  • Travel to customer locations to perform maintenance, repairs, and refurbishments on equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, executing necessary repairs
  • Carry out preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and prolong equipment life
  • Fabricate and weld components as required for repairs and modifications
  • Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities
  • Ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards and regulations
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of maintenance experience, preferably within the transportation sector
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
