Job description

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Service Technician to support our customers across the UK. The position will be a part of our STC TEST technical support and field service team in UK, where we have 3 service technicians doing on-site service and calibration covering UK but also supporting the European team. Remote technical support will be supporting our Global customer base. In this role, you will be responsible for calibration, installation, test, repair and service of equipment and software at customer sites.

Responsibilities
  • Perform on-site test calibration services, installation, training, and repairs of our Lloyd/Chatillon Material Test machines in accordance with UKAS (A2LA) standards.
  • Provide pre-sales application support, including technical consultations and demonstrations to customers.
  • Deliver after-sales technical support, troubleshooting issues and ensuring optimal performance of installed systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment and software.
  • Provide technical support both in person and via phone/computer.
  • Train new personnel within the organization and distribution channels on software, applications and service.
Requirements
  • Technical degree or certification.
  • Strong verbal, phone, and written communication skills.
  • Proven Field Service experience.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and electrical diagnostic tools.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving, and trouble-shooting abilities.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Ability to travel (up to 50%).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools, calibration software, and CRM systems.
  • Additional certifications in calibration, instrumentation, or related areas.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules.
