Field Based – UK-Wide Specialist Engineering Business

The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Service Technician to join the field engineering team, supporting customers across the Edinburgh to Glasgow region.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding (predominantly electrical).
  • Delivering high levels of customer service in line with company standards.
  • Clear and professional communication with clients.
  • Accurate reporting and completion of documentation/call trackers in a timely manner.
  • Working independently while maintaining regular communication with the team.
  • Assisting colleagues when required.
  • Ensuring PPE is properly maintained and used in accordance with health and safety requirements.
  • Adhering to quality and H&S standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Recognised electrical/electronic qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent).
  • Strong industrial background (manufacturing, engineering, production environments).
  • Experience with 3-phase motors, 415v systems, and CPU testing.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge desirable (e.g. bearings, drives, sprockets – training provided).

Package & Benefits

  • Salary: £36,000-£40,000 starting (with progression opportunities of up to 10%)
  • OTE: £50,000+
  • Company van (Mercedes – private use allowed), mobile phone, laptop, tools, PPE & uniform provided
  • Overtime paid door-to-door (time and a half)
  • Annual bonus scheme (c.10%, company performance-based)

  • Normal working hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:30
  • Participation in a call-out rota shared across the UK team
