TOMRA is seeking Field Service Engineers to install, maintain, and repair Reverse Vending Machines across Northern Ireland and the UK. You will troubleshoot equipment, perform preventative maintenance, and assist with new installations while delivering exceptional customer service.

This early-career role offers hands-on experience, autonomy, and strong growth within a safety-focused team. Expect plenty of field visits, travel, and opportunities to advance as the UK rolls out new recycling

As a Field Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in supporting TOMRA’s mission to transform the way the world recycles—while always putting safety first. Whether working with equipment, customers, or travelling between sites, you’ll operate in a safety-focused environment where the wellbeing of our people and customers is a top priority.

You’ll help keep our technology running smoothly by maintaining, repairing, and optimising equipment at customer sites. This is a hands‑on, early‑career role with a mix of planned and reactive work, offering variety, autonomy, and strong opportunities to learn and grow in a supportive team environment. You’ll be a key part of delivering a great customer experience while building your technical expertise.

As the UK prepares for the introduction of the Deposit Return Scheme (DRS), TOMRA is entering an exciting growth phase and we're now looking for Field Service Engineers across London and the South East.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Field Engineer, no two days are the same. You'll spend your time supporting customers, troubleshooting equipment, carrying out maintenance, and helping install new recycling technology. Working closely with experienced colleagues, you'll build your technical expertise while playing a key role in delivering an excellent customer experience and ensuring our equipment operates safely and reliably.

• Support the installation, commissioning, and roll‑out of new machines as TOMRA expands across the UK.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues, carrying out both preventative maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Build strong relationships with customers and site contacts, providing professional and friendly service.
• Travel throughout your region to support customers, with occasional overnight stays when required.
• Accurately record service activities, machine status, and updates using digital systems and tools.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by sharing feedback, developing your technical knowledge, and maintaining high safety standards at all times.

Ways of Working

• You'll follow established safety procedures, including TOMRA Safe and LOTO standards.
• You'll be supported with training, tools, and a collaborative team culture.
• Flexibility is essential in this role, as occasional approved overtime and weekend working will be required to support business needs.
• From October 2027, the position will transition to a rota‑based shift pattern, which will include weekend coverage.
