A leading immunodiagnostics supplier is seeking a Field Service Engineer in Wimbledon, UK. Responsibilities include instrument maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer training. Candidates must possess an engineering qualification and preferably IT knowledge. Travel is required, including training opportunities in Germany. This position offers a chance to grow in the medical diagnostics field within a dynamic team environment.
Euroimmun UK is a subsidiary of Euroimmun, part of the Revvity group, and has been supplying immunodiagnostics products to the UK market since the year 2000. Originally based in South Wales, all operations were moved in 2013 to Wimbledon, London, where the International Training Centre (ITC) is located.
The services supplied include diagnostic test kits and automated systems as well as training, after-sales support and instrument maintenance. The main disease areas covered by Euroimmun products are autoimmunity, infectious serology, endocrinology and allergy, although tests systems are also offered for antigen detection and molecular genetic diagnostics.
A position has become available for an experienced Field Service Engineer with IT knowledge. You will join a small service team who are responsible for all instruments and installations, including laboratory network solutions. Reporting to the National Service Manager, you will be predominantly based in the Midlands, ideally around Birmingham, allowing regular travel to customers in field and to the Wimbledon office. Together with the rest of the team you will cover all aspects of service support including, but not limited to, installations, services and breakdowns.
This role requires availability to travel at short notice, including to other territories and with overnight stays, to ensure that all our territories are covered at times of specific projects, installations or annual leave/sickness of other service engineers. Extensive training is offered both in the UK and abroad at our company sites (Germany, France). Shortly after joining you will spend up to 4 weeks training in Germany and further trainings will be scheduled at a later date.
