Job summary

GLORY is seeking an excellent entry point into engineering. This field-based role starts from home, visits customer sites, and uses a field service system to manage jobs. You’ll be supported by full training, a company car, and a weekend rota with extra pay.

Core hours vary with travel, flexibility is required, and progression opportunities exist through technical and leadership paths. Benefits include pension, private medical, dental, and wellbeing programs.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Interest and understanding of engineering/technology (college course, projects, hobbies or practical experience).
• Comfortable using a Windows laptop and learning new software.
• Some workplace experience showing reliability, punctuality and customer focus.
• Professional, customer-friendly on-site approach when representing GLORY.

Responsibilities

• Start your day from home, head to customer sites, and manage jobs through our field service system.
• Meet the customer, understand the issue, and keep them updated as you resolve the problem.
• Use a Windows laptop to review system logs, run checks, and record your work.
• Carry out basic connectivity and setup tasks (LAN connections, IP settings, accessing device interfaces).
• Complete preventative maintenance and replace modules/parts when needed.
• Test the equipment and clearly document what you’ve done before leaving.
• Use quieter time for structured learning and training modules.
