Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Engineer for a local patch in Wiltshire and Salisbury area. You will service, maintain and repair plant and construction machinery, diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults, with no overnight stays.

The role offers a starting salary of £37,500–£42,500 plus overtime, training and a benefits package. Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm, with ongoing career progression in a long-standing, family-owned business.

Qualifications

• Experience servicing plant and construction machinery.
• UK driving licence is required.
• Able to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Comfortable working on local patch with no overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair plant machinery on-site.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Carry out on-site breakdowns and scheduled maintenance.
• Perform pre-delivery inspections and ensure machinery is ready for use.
