Job summary

NEOS Engineering is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover Grantham and the surrounding areas, servicing, maintaining and repairing specialist equipment at customer sites to minimise downtime.

The role involves diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults, carrying out planned maintenance, writing service reports and building strong relationships with customers, with an emphasis on safety and independent working.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer or similar role.
• Strong mechanical engineering knowledge.
• Good hydraulic fault-finding ability.
• Electrical/diagnostic experience is required.
• Experience with plant, construction or specialist equipment.
• Ability to work independently and travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Attend customer sites to service and repair equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance.
• Respond to breakdowns and carry out repairs.
• Perform safety checks and complete service reports.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety.
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide technical support.
