Job summary

Abbott is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Junior) to install, upgrade, repair and maintain vascular capital equipment and diagnostics in Cath labs. The role involves extensive travel, working with clinicians, dispatch and sales teams, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Based in the UK with flexibility to travel to Ireland/Nordics/Poland as needed, you must have full eligibility to work in the UK and travel within the EU without visa requirements. 80% travel in the first 2 years is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; experience considered in lieu of formal education.
• Strong electronics/engineering fundamentals with troubleshooting expertise.
• Experience with medical devices or software-based systems is advantageous.
• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with Linux.
• Cath lab procedures familiarity is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Install, upgrade, repair and preventative maintenance of vascular capital equipment and diagnostics in Cath labs.
• Document service interventions per QA requirements and report incidents.
• Provide technical training support for in-house courses and congresses.
• Support customer biomedical engineering teams and Abbott field staff.
• Extensive national and international travel is required.
